HASA is gearing up for the Fall swim season. Registration forms and instructions are online. You should print the forms and bring them with you to the pool on Registration Night–Wednesday, September 8th from 5:30-7:30 at the middle school. The diving well will be available for testing of new swimmers. Practice will begin on Monday, September 13. Don’t forget that we’ll be having a cookout on Saturday, Sept. 11. You can sign up to attend using the Meet Entry form. We hope to see you all there!

HASA is scheduling a Grill-Out and fun afternoon for Saturday September 11th from 4-7pm. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided along with some games, entertainment and some door prizes for our swimmers. Have a chance to meet our new coach and HASA families. New members are welcome!

The grill out will be held at Town Hall Park (off of County Highway A and McCutcheon Rd). Everyone is welcome, though to ensure that we purchase enough food, please RSVP to Coach Ryan (hawke@hudsonswimteam.org). If you would like to bring a dessert or salad to share, you are welcome to; though not a necessity to partake in the activities.

KENOSHA– Hudson Area Swim Association (HASA) swimmers Shane Blinkman and Erika Guenther competed at the Zone Championships, representing team Minnesota on August 6-8.

Shane Blinkman competed in the 50 meter and 100 meter distances for both the breaststroke and backstroke events. Shane ended up finishing 10th in both of breaststroke distances (42.51 in the 50 meter and 1:33.78 in the 100 meter).

Erika Guenther competed in the 50 meter and 100 meter freestyle events. Erika placed 11th in the 50 meter freestyle (28.67) and 10th in the 100 meter freestyle with a time of 1:02.10. Erika also participated on the 200 Freestyle Relay; with a split of 27.93, Erika was vital in Minnesota’s 1-2 finish in this event!

HASA has some extra state shirts. They are ¾ sleeved baseball shirts. If you are interested in picking one up they cost $12 and you may contact Linda at l5berdusco@gmail.com. Supplies are limited, so make sure to order quickly!!
